'run.' is an evening-length, dance-poetry story of two black, out-lesbian women in a committed relationship, who navigate the daily struggles and joys of life in NYC. Nia & Ness invite the audience to enter their world as observers, listening in on their intimate, strong, and loving conversations about and influenced by their identities.
This workshop uses the body, the voice, informal dance, play, and the creation of the embodied altar that is a blanket fort.
As we define this/these boundaries, we will create a liminal space. This space will be ours, an external manifestation of the meanings, charges and intentions we create for it.
